Mobility in Motion announces partnership with Paralympian, Robyn Love

Mobility in Motion is excited to announce their new partnership with British basketball paralympian, Robyn Love. The Ayr-born, Manchester-based athlete, who rose to fame during the 2016 Paralympic Games, is highlighting the need for accessible mobility in all areas of life, especially in car travel.
Partnering with the Derby-based automotive accessibility manufacturer, the partnership hopes to bring greater awareness to the solutions available for those with limited mobility, especially when it comes to completing everyday tasks like driving to work or parenting.
Commenting on her journey with travel, Love comments:
“I had, honestly, no idea that cars could be adapted. I didn’t know that you could swap accelerators around, I didn’t know you could have hand controls, I didn’t know you could have a steering ball – until the guy in the showroom was like, ‘Hey, have you thought about this?’. I’m so glad that I just had that conversation with him, and since then, I’ve just never looked back.”
My car is my life. If I didn’t have a car, I couldn’t do my job, I couldn’t go on holiday… I think all those things for a person with a disability, that ownership of your life, is just so important. And that’s what your car is. It gives you that ownership.
Robyn Love, Paralympian
The ‘Skills Clinic’ Coach and ‘Women in Sport’ Speaker became a mum in April 2023 with her partner and teammate, Laurie Williams – which further inspires her advocacy for mobility inclusion. Love comments: ‘As a disabled parent, I think that you’re more equipped for these problem-solving challenges because you live your life that way every day, even before having children.‘
Bruce Lauder, Head of Sales & Marketing at Mobility in Motion comments:
“We’re thrilled to be partnering with British Paralympian Robyn Love to raise awareness about accessible travel options for millions of disabled Brits. Together, we’re working to ensure more people know about the mobility driving solutions available to them across the UK. Robyn’s determination to spread this awareness around mobility, opening up on how it has impacted so many areas of her life, is exactly why she’s perfectly aligned with Mobility in Motion’s vision for the future.”
