We’ve Made The Shortlist For The Disability Smart Awards 2025!
Mobility in Motion is thrilled to have been shortlisted in the Inclusive Customer Experience category for organisations with less than 250 members of staff at the upcoming Disability Smart Awards. This recognition highlights our ongoing commitment to bringing new and innovative products to market alongside delivering exceptional customer service.
About the awards
The Disability Smart Awards 2025 Inclusive Customer Experience Award celebrates small and medium-sized businesses that go above and beyond to provide an outstanding customer experience for disabled people. It recognises organisations that take proactive steps to break down barriers, whether through innovative products, services, or customer service practices that specifically cater to the needs of disabled customers.
We are incredibly proud to be considered for this award, as it reflects our dedication to inclusivity and the core values of our business. At Mobility in Motion, we’ve always believed that great customer service should be accessible to everyone, and this nomination is a testament to the hard work our team has put into ensuring that our customers feel valued and supported.
Diane Lightfoot, CEO of Business Disability Forum, said: “I want to offer a huge congratulations to all the Disability Smart Awards 2025 finalists. Judging the awards gets tougher each year and only entries which have been developed by or with disabled people, are innovative and can demonstrate true impact reach the finalist stage. We look forward to sharing stories about our finalists as we continue to encourage all businesses to do better on disability inclusion.”
Our Commitment to Inclusivity
At Mobility in Motion, we have worked hard to create products and services that cater to the diverse needs of disabled people. From tailored mobility solutions to providing accessible and responsive customer support, we strive to ensure that every interaction with our company is seamless and inclusive. Our efforts to improve accessibility include:
Personalised Support: Our customer service team is specially trained to assist customers with their accessibility requirements, providing advice and solutions tailored to their needs. We offer a free no-obligation demonstration service either online or at home as standard where we complete a detailed assessment to ensure the recommended vehicle adaptations are really going to meet their needs.
Accessible Product Range: For this specific award entry we focused on the teams work to ensure our boot hoists and person hoists can run independently of electric vehicles batteries, a problem not really being talked about in the sector. Martin Peaker our Group Engineering Manager explains more:
“The development of electric and semi-autonomous vehicles presented unique challenges in installing and powering vehicle disability adaptations from the vehicle. The Smart Lifter power pack is completely independent of the vehicle providing a unique solution, loaded with features to make it easy for the disabled community to use.”
Ongoing Feedback Loop: We actively engage with our customers, ensuring their feedback is heard and used to continuously improve our services and products
This nomination for the Disability Smart Award is not just a reflection of our achievements, but a motivation to continue pushing ourselves to ensure we are constantly improving and offering our customers the best possible products and services.
Looking Ahead
Being shortlisted for this award is a significant milestone for us, but we view it as another important step in our journey towards a more inclusive future. Our team is committed to enhancing the experiences of disabled individuals and ensuring that every customer feels confident and empowered when using our products and services.
Thank you to the Disability Smart Awards judges for this recognition and to our incredible customers whose feedback and support inspire us to do more. As we move forward, we will continue to innovate and advocate for inclusivity at every level of our business.
Stay tuned for further updates on the Disability Smart Awards, the winners will be announced at the ceremony on 29th April in London – we’ll have everything crossed that we come home with the award!
